Fables De La Fontaine - 01 by *davidkawena. The suggester says "So full of life, imagination and details!" And how right they are, I'm utterly transfixed by this incredible picture and can't stop staring at the incredible details! ( Suggested by sereneimmorality and Featured by Pixel-Spotlight )

Beyond its very neat composition, what striked me in this picture is its wonderful lighting. The contrast between the right and left parts of the picture is powerful and the colors are simple but none the less splendid. Also check the stunning amount of details in the foreground and around the tree, especially in the amazing water reflection - I think it's my favorite part of the picture, I could stare at it for hours.

I love how the tree is standing strong and mighty before the storm while the reeds and straws feel like bending under the wind. The little mouse adds a lot of humanity to the scene and makes an other character out of the tree through their opposition in the picture, making the whole painting a great narrative illustration.

This image is enchanting and every time Im on this site I usually look at it. The use of colors and imagery reminds me growing up and watch storms roll in over the corn fields. also the use of light and the dark meeting brightness is fabulous. I love the little mouse and his size being enlarged due to his location in the image. The lighting's is extremely intimating and quite spooky. Great job and I can not wait to see more of the images that are developed and continuation of this story. Great job again David and keep up the good work.

Wow! This is so beautiful.

And that mouse! Such a quirky touch. His tail curling around the plant is too cute.
