wow 0.o its so powerful, the imperfection of it make sit that much more beautiful and its odd and funny because it subtle in terms of colour but striking all the same with all the raw emotion. Well done
Oh wow.... This is the first time I've seen a chasid on this site, and it is now my new favorite. This is really lovely. Did you base this off of anyone in particular or did you just draw it? Either way it's really lovely and totally captures the essence.
As more than one person already answered, it's a Haredi Jew (right-wing religious). In Israel, one finds that the hats usually distinguish one group of Haredim (plural of the Hebrew word Haredi) from another. The two images in this series are not the same "religion" (haha) It's amazing just how divided we are (I'm Jewish too, but not Datia - female form of the Hebrew word for regligiously observant)
wow it so .....WOW . I love how you painted it and it looks exactley like them ! I shouled beacause I live in Israel and i seen so many of them . from wher did tou get the insperation? have you been in Israel??
Shabbat shalom, and what a beautiful piece! I'm really impressed by how expressive he is, and how the lighting makes the scene feel like a breezy winter afternoon. His shtreimel is so fluffy! I love how he seems completely at peace with himself; that kind of comfort in one's faith is good to see.
