All hail King Peter and Prince Caspian on their entrance to the Disney Heroes Hall of Fame!!!
These two have been on my "to do" list for a lot of time! In fact the drawing you see above is actually the 2nd version on Caspian and Peter that I've done. The first one featured them along a giant statue of Aslan, with Caspian sitting on top of it, and Peter sitting on the floor. That drawing was 90% done, and every time I looked at it, something felt wrong and did not set well into the frame... So I decided to drop it and move on to other heroes on the list.
A month ago I decided I want to re-try doing something with Peter and Caspian. The one thing I set my mind on to, was heaving them together in the same shot!
After a short brain storm, the idea of a friendly arm wrestling between the two popped to my mind and I knew this was it! It was so much fun heaving them interact with one another, as oppose to the first version. The one thing I took from the original version were all the Narnian motives of the armour and crowns and then I added more of them to Caspian and Peter's jokestraps and of course the Aslan inspired table!
While heaving some difficulties fitting the standard "Disney Heroes" background to work with the scene, I played with it a little and decided to add the strong ray of light in - and I am so happy I did! Just playing around with it's effect on the whole drawing was a blast! And it created such a strong feeling to the entire piece!
I was trying to capture that sense of rivalry between friends, and it's up to you to decided who will be the winner, and what will be his prize!
This is the first "Disney Heroes" drawing to feature two heroes, I hope I managed to make each of them to stand on his own without taking the focus from the other one. I can't wait to make a another scene with 2 or more heroes at the same time!

Very hot. I'm loving the Narnian armor. Feels very gladiator-ish.
