Prince Phillip ("Sleeping Beauty") - from my "Disney Heroes Photoshot" ;)

Sorry for taking so long to put on some new Disney Heroes... I'm all into the "Live Earth" events this week and it takes most of my time. Hey, it will combines 2 of my biggest passions - nature preserving and Madonna! Sure Madge will give the best performance of all as ever, but more then that I really hope that people will actually wake up and start realise we have only one earth to live in and it is time we'll start taking care of it!

Back to the drawing - This one took forever, again (for some reason my drawings are taking a lot of time to finish lately). When finished I decided to add the belt on his arm and it added a whole new feeling to this drawing, and to Phillip himself, and I liked it :P My "Disney Heroes" collection is inspired by Steven Klein [link] and my dear friend pandashekki [link] and his awesome pictures and his killer colour palettes :D

Not very 14th Century but I like ;)

This is my favourite (though not just because Philip is my favourite Disney Prince ;) ). There's so much going on here. I like the way you've dressed him in boxers and his pose isn't a little too obvious like some of the others in your collection (which are a little bit too much for me considering this is part of my childhood haha). I really like the way the light highlights his outline and deepens the picture. Furthermore, in every picture you've captured the unique personality and physical traits of the Disney characters with touches of humour, such as the belt on his arm (considering he did have a lengthy bound and gagged/chained to the wall scene ;) and was the first Disney Prince to have experienced this). And Philip in the movie was smooth with a slightly dry, sarcastic wit which is reflected in his expression. You've rendered him as lean and tall in proportion to his animated counterpart which is also perfect although I did note you took his hairstyle from the right side of his head (as it is in the movie) and transferred it to his left (there is a curl near his temple). Did you chose to draw him from the back because he is often seen from his profile? Anyway, I can't add any more superlatives to your work that haven't been said so already except :w00t:

I really like the way you captured the unique personality and physique of each character and translated them into (recognisable) pin-ups. Did you deliberately chose to pose him from the back because he has such a strong profile? The only thing I would point out is that you copied his hair from the right side of his face (as it is in the movie) and transferred it to his left side. But otherwise I love the way you've captured his cheekiness and the artistic touch of the belt, especially as he was the first Disney Prince to be bound and gagged by the villain ;). I love the way the light is used to highlight his outline. Also interesting is how you dressed him in boxers as opposed to the posing pouches of the other heroes... which are probably too obvious for my taste. But bravo! Amazing! And other superlatives I can't think of. :w00t:
