Disney's FROZEN - Queen Elsa Colour Sketch WIP by davidkawena Disney's FROZEN - Queen Elsa Colour Sketch WIP by davidkawena
Congratulations to the Walt Disney Animation Studios and the great team behind this year’s Golden Globes winner for best animated film - #Frozen.

Here’s a little 4 step ‘work in progress’ version of my earliest Elsa drawing.

Beautiful! I particularly admire the casual elegance of her arm in the foreground, and your thoughtful detail down to her hand while letting other details fade into background. I also love the darkest colours making her face the emphasis, without competing with the overall delicacy of the piece. Her hair is gorgeously textured!

Elsa is my favorite!  I think the film should have been about her.  I honestly thought they were going to pair her with Kristoff for a minute, but they had to pull a bait and switch on us.

Well, when Kristoff said he was going to cry from seeing Elsa's ice castle, then said ice was his life, I was like: Okay, the loner princess with ice power is going to hook up with the loner ice cutter!  Then Anna will get Hans and all will be right with the world!  Buuuuuut, no!

My thoughts exactly. :( Why couldn't they pick another time to precaution folks against "falling in love" too quickly? *sigh*
