"I've been dreaming of a true loves kiss, and a price I'm hoping comes with this..."
My first ever ENCHANTED fan art!
This one took forever!!! started working of it a month before the movie came out, and finished it today!!! I must say though it was the busiest month ever, and I didn't really had much time to work on it, that's way it took so long!
Don't ask me why, but I have had this vision of Giselle on a swing from the first time I saw the trailer from the movie...
As more pictures from the movie popped up the net, I got more and more exited about the fact that it'll be an old-style fairytale, with all the cute animals, and songs so I decided to add that to my Giselle + Swing idea...
I actually thought of the turtle giving Giselle a flower before I knew there's a part like that in the movie
The background is heavily based on 2 pictures from the movie... Usually when it's my first time drawing a background from a new Disney movie I'm always basing it on a picture or 2 from the movie to learn it's style, as each movie is unique. then after feeling comfortable with it, I just let my imagination go with it... I've also looked at some of Alfons Mucha drawings, who was the overall influence for the animation look in Enchanted and added some of his fantastic shapes here and there, especially in the trees, to get the Enchanted style.
Don't you just LOVE that Enchanted-Bambi?! He was so cute in the movie! He was the first character I've finished in this drawing... Love him! And Pip too! This was also the first time I've used the new Walt Disney logo, let's hope I'll use it more, if that means more new classic Disney movies!!! I also edited the Enchanted logo a little bit...
Hope you'll like this one as much as I enjoyed drawing it!

Oh, sure, the characters are cute and Giselle is as charming as she ought to be, but man. That envorinment! You really hit out of the ballpark with that one, dude.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
