I will never forget how I walked quietly on the grass in London's Hyde Park, to capture that cute little squirrel! He was just standing there on the fence and came right to me!
He wasn't afraid or anything. I felt like Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) walking around with squirrels and birds all over! I made some voices with my mouth to have him looking right at me, and after I took the first picture, he got scared, probably of the camera sound, and went away, where I took the second picture of him!
God, it was such a great day! I remember someone asking me some time after, why am I so happy, and I was telling him about it, and he said: "So what? It's just a squirrel! We have tons of them here!"... I thought this guy must be crazy. Then I thought he must be sad or something like that... I went out of the park thinking how lucky am I for being able to enjoy the smallest things in life!
It really is a shame that some people don't even know what they have in their "back yard", and more then that, they are so busy with the everyday life, that they don't even care to find out...
to everyone out there who still feels like there's some kind of magic in this world!
I'm afraid most londoners aren't as chipper as you my dear In fact... the majority I've had the unfortunate opportunity of running into have been rude and generally disagreeable...
I'm so glad that there is someone out there like me There is still magic in every little thing for me as well
This is a gorgeous image What a mischevious little critter!

I understand what you mean about us londoners no appreciating the beauty we have right infront of us especially coz i find it hard to get such beautiful shots of my own area! But when Im in another country, I find it easier to take beautiful shots as well. I envy ur knack at taking photos of animals up close - I've always wanted that ability

How do I search for a line which does not exist? Where can I find the line which distinguishes best friend and boyfriend?
I know what you mean! I grew up in Germany and squirrels are really rare there, when I moved to England they were everywhere but I still stop and look at them and get really excited when I see them. Everybody thinks I'm mad!
Super cute photo and this Squirrel looks really unusal! He's like a mixture of a red and grey squirrel, I've never seen one like that ^^
I Dont know why it was so quiter around u coz the ones in my house when they see someone coming they run like crazy ...and they dont run when the cats are near ...wtf....
