David - you are SO polished and your style SO established it is difficult to critique. On this particular sketch I truly enjoy the limited palette. The use of ambers give this an instantly ethereal yet forest glow. When I critique I like to give my very favorite bit on apiece and my least favorite bit. My very fave is of course the light and palette. Were I to identify something as my least favorite I would only say that the composition could be more challenging. That would be "gilding the lily" as they say - as your work i consistently superb and a simple unchallenged comp does allow a viewer to just gaze and appreciate everything else but it might be nice to see some unexpected compositions. My humble (VERY) offering. Love your work.
