I am on a roll!

There you have the latest of my fan arts for Disney's "The Princess and the Frog"! :dance:

I had this vision in my mind ever since I saw that first picture of Louis the alligator sitting in the swamp looking at 2 frogs (now known as Tiana and Naveen). Then like a month ago, the first bits of animation from the film started to float online, and one of them was just that vision I had in mind! I was shocked! and so thrilled!

So, now after we've all seen the full trailer, I just said to myself, it is time to do just that image I had in my mind!

I had SO MUCH FUN drawing this one ~
For start, I think it's my first shot at drawing an alligator since, umm, 15 years?! I LOVE Luise! He is going to be such a classic character for sure! I can't wait to hear him talk, and sings!!!

This is also my first try at drawing Tiana as a frog!
But I loved most about this one, is the chance to finally draw a Princess/Frog style background! (if you count aside that poor balcony in the Tiana/Neveen drawing) Wooooohhhh! That was such an amazing feeling! The style of this film, it's background art is outstanding! So rough, and yet with such smooth edges. So full of colour and light! I had a blast doing that!

I was working on this one for 4 days now. Me being sick as hell (don't know what I have but it better stop! I have lots of plans for this week! And I need to work!) the computer crashed 3 times - thank God I click "save" every 10 minutes, and what not?! It was a long journey to finish this piece, but now that it's over with, I think it was worth it!

I sure hope you'll this new drawing ;P

Looking through my new poll, and my inbox here, I see that many people are asking to see some kind of work in progress/tutorial for "How I do it?!" - well, I've never tried doing a tutorial before, but I did saved this drawing in various stages and I'll upload it here very soon. Hope it'll give you all some insights to my drawing method...

Gotta say I feel like I opened up a Pandora Box with my latest poll - 450+ comments?! :wow: I'll need to take a day off to read them all, but I have already spotted some very interesting ideas! Thank you all for sharing your visions with me :hug:

The alligator is fantastic and so is the background! You're really able to recreate a whole world from some short trailer scenes, it's great! :D

The lovely water and lilies are probably my favorite things about this drawing. Very awesome David! Aside from that, I want a crocodile playing a musical instrument as a pet, please :)
