Artist's Comments Well my friends - The time has come! in less then 25 days Disney's newest movie, it's first 2D, hand drawn animated film in 5 years - The Princess and the Frog, will be released in the U.S.! I am over flowed with emotions over this one as you all know by now. The importance of what this particular film represent to me is something I cannot put into words. It was a sure thing I will draw some fan arts for this film, but I never thought it would be so much fun! I'm already in love with Tiana and Naveen as humans for months now, and Louise the alligator - he is just so round and have these great flowing round lines to draw. This time around I got to do some really fast rough sketches, not polished coloured ones like I've done before, and I just fell in love with Naveen as a frog! He is such a great character! And Tiana as a kid is just too adorable don't you think?! And of course Dr. Facilier! This here is my first ever try at drawing him and I know I'll draw more of him for sure! He is brilliant! These were done with a pan and with almost no references pictures aside from some pictures from a colouring book I have. My favourite on is Tiana as waitress! I think I'll colour it once I'll get better and won't be so sick any more! And Louise too! Oh, I can't wait to see this film already! Haaaaaa!!! Hope you all like these rough sketches and give me few pointers as to what else would you like to see in terms of The Princess and the Frog fan arts!!! I also adore Louis-he's so adorable.
The little doodle of Naveen as a frog wearing a crown is cute-I like that Disney broke that cliche and as a frog-he's NOT seen wearing a crown.
